Dan BibyPresident & CEO, Biby AssociatesAs President and CEO of Biby Associates, Dan Biby has nearly 19 years of experience in businesscontinuity planning, emergency preparedness and response planning and training. These services include developing counter-terrorism strategies for clients that comprise our nation’s critical infrastructures such as energy, telecommunications, and transportation. He is active in numerous volunteer organizations, including FBI InfraGard, Oklahoma Emergency Management Association, Oklahoma County LEPC, and Oklahoma City Citizens Response Team. Dan holds several certifications in weapons of mass destruction and terrorism studies. This extensive training includes WMD threat assessment, WMD incident response, and law enforcement protective measures. He has also undergone comprehensive training in Incident Command System, an important response component within the National Incident Management System. The Second Edition to his fourth book, Disaster Dictionary, is due to be published next Spring. First published in 2005, this reference has received numerous endorsements from experts in law enforcement, public health, and FEMA. Written for responders and planners alike, the latest edition will contain over 3,500 disaster-related terms and acronyms, plus sections on weapons of mass destruction and Incident Command System. In April of 2007, he was elected president of FBI InfraGard, Oklahoma Members Alliance. InfraGard’s mission is to provide a forum for exchange of counter-terrorism information between the FBI and the owners and operators of the national infrastructure, and others concerned with protecting our national assets. A charter member since the state chapter was organized in 1999, Dan has been instrumental in bringing a business continuity planning perspective to the group. |
